I am on Verizon and I am being told by Samsung that Marshmallow broke Allshare Cast. So I can no longer use my Allshare Cast dongle to stream content from my phone to my TV. I am also told that Chromecast is not full screen. What are people using to stream content from their S7 to their TV? My TV does not have any streaming functionality built in.

You might try Mircast. Miracast is a lot like AirPlay... AirPlay is a wireless standard that allows two devices to connect to each other to share movies, music, or other media. Miracast is the same thing, just not owned by Apple. Miracast is built on Wi-Fi Direct, which is basically just an ad hoc Wi-Fi standard.

The good thing about Miracast is it should work with pretty much anything that's not from Apple. It's built into Windows 8.1/10 and Android 4.2+. The tricky thing is to find an adapter that works reliably across your range of devices, so I'm just reading about it and haven't pulled the trigger on a dongle yet - most seem to be in the $15-50 range.
MHL cables worked great prior to the Galaxy S6/7 but now that they've apparently turned that off, Miracast seems like the long term option.

Miracast support is built into Android 4.2 or later. AllShare Cast is Samsung's name for it.
How about Youtube videos?
