Root Almost ready to flash some Roms/themes

So, I am getting closer to taking the plunge into flashing roms and I just wanted to see what your opinions are. So far this is what i have downloaded. (currently rooted)

Safestrap
Rom Manager
My Backup pro
Busybox pro

I had Titanium backup installed and had made a backup then one day the backup was gone. Not sure why but it kinda scared me so I uninstalled. Not only that but when I tried to back up everything again, it could not find apps/files on my phone to backupbut I would be able to see how much memory apps were taking up on the phone. Somebody on these forums had stated that they used My backup pro instead of Titanium backup with success but I just wanted a second opinion. Thanks for any help

So nobody knows why the Backup/Restore portion of Titanium Backup shows no apps or why there is no backup when there was previously? I am worried about using Backup Pro cause I cannot wipe the Dalvik Cache. Every tutorial of Titanium backup shows apps immediately inside the Backup/Restore section and I can't figure out why all of a sudden mine does not. Please give me some advice here.

I've never had TB 'lose' backups, and certainly never had it not show apps that are installed. I'd suggest reinstalling TB and see if it behaves better.
I'm not familiar with My Backup Pro, but I've used TB for years with no problems.

Well I redownloaded it just to have it but made a backup with backup pro. I took the leap and downloaded Black Widow and am loving it.
