Alternative to holding down home button.

Hello, I was wondering if there is alternative to holding down home button to switch between apps.

I was wishing that there is some app that shows all active app and if we click on it, it gets opened.

Is there anything like that?

Holding down home button only shows recently opened apps. Also, I am not fans of holding down buttons...

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!:)

I use SystemPanel, I have it mapped to my LauncherPro 'Apps' button to swipe so it is always quickly available, you could just put it on your homepage too, but it gives you a list of all running apps, memory usage, storage etc. You can selectively kill any processes you need to or switch to them.

If you are using a stock launcher there is this also, shows running apps ala Expos

I had the worst time with holding the home key bot showing Gmail, stock browser and a couple others. It was like they were black listed or something. Those were the top two I used so I'm not sure why they wouldn't show up most of the time. Seems to be better with 2.2 though.

I used a free app called JKappSwitch. It's pretty handy and quite stable. Been using it since Nov and never had a FC. I like that in the settings I can tell it to display CPU usage and then in the notification bar the little icon shows CPU level and changes colors from green to orange to red as the CPU is being maxed out. Nice to know if you hit a key and the CPU is working on your command or if the display didn't register your input. It does some other things but these are the two reasons (CPU display and app switching of all current apps since holding the Home key tends to not show the app you need) I use it for. It says it doesn't support 2.2 but try installing it as it seems to work for me just fine.
