Alternatives to iOS Microsoft Photosynth on Android?

Judging from the number of people that have come up and shown me this app recently, im going to assume it's fairly new... but is there any sort of alternative to it on the Android market?

I'm guessing there is more chance of hell freezing over than Microsoft actually creating the app for Android eventually (having said that, I didn't know Microsoft and Apple were exactly best of friends) but it seems like something cool you can show off

Cheers everyone

To quote the official description:
"Photosynth is a powerful set of tools for capturing and viewing the world in 3D. You can share these views with your friends on Facebook, publish them to Bing Maps, or embed them in your own Web site."

Basically it's a mobile panorama, you take pictures and then the app "stitches" them together and gives you a "3D" 360 degree picture to view

The Iphone App was shown on BBC Click Sunday morning 01 May 2011.
It certainly looks a terrific program for the mobile user.
So much better than the linear hold it in a straight line affair we see in panorama Apps on phones and cameras.
I love how you simply point the phones camera at a point in space and it then gets captured. Do this many times and you end up building a large horizontal and vertical panorama shot.

No chance in hell this will come to Android but boy I would pay handsomely if it did.

Yeah it seems so much more intuitive than any Android alternative i've used so far, Photaf being the best.

I saw a Youtube clip with the creator of the app for Microsoft and he said that they were planning on releasing it for Android and other platforms sometime in the future, so fingers crossed it will be here eventually... of course they never gave a time frame so it could be months/years away.

I'll try and find the video
