Help Am I connected to the wifi?

I think it used to work differently several weeks ago, so I wonder if it is working correctly.

• I go to settings -> wi-fi and see a list of wi-fi networks.
• My home wifi shows "Secured with WPA2 (WPS available)". Also some of other nearby wifi show the same status.
• I select my home wifi, provide the password, and press 'connect'
• It briefly shows "Authenticating...", then briefly "Connected", then back to "Secured with WPA2 (WPS available)"

So I think it connects successfully but then disconnects within about a second. I think it used to connect automatically and stay connected. How to get the old behavior?

I have Android version 4.4.4, with a build date of Sat Apr 16, 2016.

Reboot your router

If you are connected you should see a Wi-Fi icon on the right side of the status bar. Seeing it on the left side means connections arr available.
