I'm still using my gs4 and it still runs smooth(thanks to you guys) and I am now due for an upgrade. At first it was the gs7, now it's the Note 7 that I'm watching. But, I find my phone still runs good and I'm not in a hurry to upgrade. This is new to me.

The S4 is still a good phone with a lot of life left and depending on model, lots of custom development.
If is meets your needs and your not the type that has to have the latest and greatest, keep using it.

Yeah. Unless you can get a new phone without any additional cost or whatsoever. I got my S7Edge on the same plan renewal as my Note 2. I pay the same thing I do monthly as before for the same services, so meh, why not. I did get the bonus of not needing to carry 2 phones since it's dual sim.

I agree with jfalls just keep using it and when you think it's time for an upgrade, get an upgrade. That's how I do it. Hope this helps. Have fun.
