Help Amazon app store

I always got "parse package error", when trying to install updates to Amazon App Store. I uninstalled the app to try to fix the problem (stupid, I know now). Now I go to install it, but it never lets me install. I get a page listing 3 steps before installing; I follow them, then click "Install" it does nothing. How do I get this app back? Please help me.

You can't call me the brightest color in the box, but I was finally able (after all afternoon) to restore my Amazon App Store.
