Amazon: Billing Address

So I asked my friend to order something for me off of Amazon since I don't have a credit card yet. He entered his information and then I placed the order. About 20 min later when I got home, I realized I forgot to change the Billing Address to his house. When I logged back on to Amazon, the order status was on "Shipping Soon" which was weird since it was the wrong billing address, I expected the order to not go through.

So I cancelled the order, changed the billing address to his house, and reordered what I wanted. Now for some reason Amazon is declining the card with the correct billing address but didn't decline the card when it had the wrong billing address.

So...wtf?

They probably think you are attempting fraud. Does he have an Amazon account, or were you using yours with HIS billing info? You probably can't bill to someone else from your account. It would probably be better to use HIS account and ship to YOUR address.

He doesn't use amazon, therefore he has no account. He let me use the same card to order something before off of monoprice with my shipping address and his billing address (The same thing I'm doing with Amazon). Nothing went wrong with that transaction.

The 2 transactions so close together probably raised a flag. Contact them (General Support under Contact Us) and give a brief description of what happened. Be sure to include both order numbers. See what they say.

Impossible, the last time he let me use the card was last year and the item was like $10...I'll talk to him once he gets off work and see
