Amazon Fire phone is not bad after installed CM11

You can get an Amazon Fire phone less than $150 with 1 year Prime. Also installed CM11, it works great with Cricket Wireless. The Sim card size is nano.

Interesting. How hard was it to root and install custom recovery to flash CM?

Not hard at all. Just followed the guide from xda forum. The trick part is Kingroot, an app for root the phone, you have to try again if it fails to root the phone.

One of the better phones for the price even with fire OS.. I actually like fire OS personally but that's just me.. The current price for this phone is amazing with prime for a year.

If you already have prime, it adds a year to your subscription

I love the Fire OS too, but it is just lagging sometime and CM11 is much more light and quick.

Mine doesn't lag at all. Smooth all the time. I can't figure out why there are so many negative reviews out there for the phone.
