Amazon mp3 player has taken over my phone. It tries to default when I play ANY audio files, like ringtones or wav files...and I want the files to be played through the original default player like it did when I got the phone. As it is, I can't play any audio other than music. Can I change the default audio player, and do I need amazon mp3 player if I download music from amazon?

Maddening, isn't it? Happened to me a while back. To reset to default player:
Settings > Apps > All > Amazon MP3 > Clear Defaults
Settings > Apps > All > Amazon MP3 > Clear Data
Settings > Apps > All > Amazon MP3 > Clear Cache
Settings > Apps > All > Amazon MP3 > Disable
Can't comment on needing the Amazon MP3 player app to play downloaded music from Amazon but I suspect it would take over all audio file playing functions again.
I was so ticked off by the Amazon MP3 player app that I deliberately will NEVER download music from them.
