In a recent talk with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, more light was shed on why the company doesn't offer Chromecast. He says it's because they can't get their app pre-loaded on the device, something Amazon requires to sell video players on their website. This is odd as Chromecast isn't a platform which has any apps pre-loaded.
