Amazon Wireless Returns...

I recently returned my Droid Incredible to Amazon Wireless during the 30 return period. I sent the phone back on July 2nd and I am not able to get any confirmation that the phone has been received. The CSR at Amazon tells me that the wireless returns go to the same address as all other Amazon returns and it could take as long as four weeks to process and there is no way to expedite. I explained why I returned the phone and that I want to purchase the Droid X and that I want to do it as soon as possible to avoid a back order mess like the Incredible had. I should mention that Amazon cannot sell you another phone after a return, I don't know why but they can't, so i have to deal with Verizon this time. So I asked if once the phone shows in Amazon's system as being returned, will Verizon's system show the same? The answer is NO the two systems do not communicate information on returns. Amazon is happy to do a three way call and explain to Verizon that it has been returned even before they can verify it. I could call Verizon and try to talk them into a three way call but once I explain everything to Verizon and we make the call I'll have to try to explain the whole deal to the Amazon CSR (with the Verizon CSR on the line) and get them on the same page...

Anyone have any ideas? I don't really see why Verizon should care since they didn't sell me the first phone. I suppose they could sell it to me at full price and credit me when phone shows as being returned (even though it won't according to Amazon).

I just want my new phone.............

Any Verizon CSR's out there with any ideas?

:confused::confused::confused:

I think you would have more luck getting help on the Droid X forum. Not going to get much help or sympathy on a forum of the phone you are returning. Just a thought.

LOL there's no reason to resent the guy for returning the phone...YOU may think it's great, but it might not be so hot for the next guy ya know? If people didn't have different tastes this world would be very boring and there would be no competition since everyone would have the same thing.

To the OP, I know it may be tedious but just do as you said and call Verizon to explain the situation then 3 way Amazon...Verizon will understand and won't turn ya away to get the issue resolved!

I did end up trying that but getting the rep from Verizon that is willing to help me on the phone with Amazon has proved to be quite difficult. She says she will call me tomorrow and we will call Amazon together. Wish me luck..

lol verizon and amazon aren't the same company

amazon is just a authorized retailer

Did you read the thread? I realize that my last comment lacked some punctuation, but after reading the other comments it should be clear, let me try again...

For what it is worth I was able to get them together and ordered the X on launch day. I still haven't gotten the refund from Amazon though.

I do have to say that the snippy and cocky answers around here (not just this thread) are really lame ...we're talking phones here, not politics and religion. Relax a little...
