I recently returned my Droid Incredible to Amazon Wireless during the 30 return period. I sent the phone back on July 2nd and I am not able to get any confirmation that the phone has been received. The CSR at Amazon tells me that the wireless returns go to the same address as all other Amazon returns and it could take as long as four weeks to process and there is no way to expedite. I explained why I returned the phone and that I want to purchase the Droid X and that I want to do it as soon as possible to avoid a back order mess like the Incredible had. I should mention that Amazon cannot sell you another phone after a return, I don't know why but they can't, so i have to deal with Verizon this time. So I asked if once the phone shows in Amazon's system as being returned, will Verizon's system show the same? The answer is NO the two systems do not communicate information on returns. Amazon is happy to do a three way call and explain to Verizon that it has been returned even before they can verify it. I could call Verizon and try to talk them into a three way call but once I explain everything to Verizon and we make the call I'll have to try to explain the whole deal to the Amazon CSR (with the Verizon CSR on the line) and get them on the same page...
Anyone have any ideas? I don't really see why Verizon should care since they didn't sell me the first phone. I suppose they could sell it to me at full price and credit me when phone shows as being returned (even though it won't according to Amazon).
I just want my new phone.............
Any Verizon CSR's out there with any ideas?
