Amazon's New +Ad Phones

Looks like Amazon is rolling out its new line of discount phones with ads.
Is this the way of the future? Advertisers buying billboard space per device. OEMs competing for the Super Bowl priced ad space. I just have one question. If I get one, root it and install adblocking. What happens then?
