An unknown Essential Phone gets WiFi certified

Looks like Andy Rubin's Essential - which is yet to start shipping its first phone, the PH-1 - is already working on a new device. Carrying a model number of A11, the handset has been certified by the WiFi Alliance (WiFi).

GSMArena were not being very smart here. The Essential phone was designated "A11" when it went through the FCC a few weeks ago, so this is not a new or unknown device.

Even if they'd not noticed that at the time, if they'd bothered to Google "Essential A11" before writing this they'd have found it out easily enough.
