Very good application for our terminals give a major security utility. This application allows us to notify a person of our contact list automatically without any intervention by the user, if we had an accident, which is detected by sensors in our phones to detect the fall and then sends an email or sms with the date, time and position.
I find different uses, for my father, for cyclists who go out alone in the mountains, for those who go on a bike and we're afraid of being stranded on the road if we suffer an accident, in this case the application would send the notice, although we we were in ratios on the road and most importantly would send at the same time of the accident

I am biker and installed today in my HTC desiree HD. I've been testing it in the message displays date, time, and your location with a google map.
I'm trying to send me e-mail to myself and it works. Also free!.

How does it differentiate between a fall/injury accident and dropped phone?

In tests I've done, the alarm will not fire immediately after the coup, but that takes time. When I moved the phone after the coup, the alarm is not triggered ever. I understand that there must be a timer to see if you're moving for a while, and does not trigger the alarm if you move.

Well, if you become unconscious, the phone can alert your location before you recover.

I have the same question as meatcookie. It seems the app will trigger most of the time events that are not real accidents (a bump on the road at high speed), but when a true accident occurs there will be no phone left to send alerts .... So I am questioning the usefulness of such an app.

To understand how we must distinguish three consecutive events in time.
Event one: the shot that starts the process accelerometer
Event Two: Two motion analysis for one minute.
Event Three:
If no movement is generated the alarm call and the user can disable it, if the user can not be considered necessary to send the SMS or activating the GPS support to include the location in the message.
If there is motion the process is reset and return to expect event one occurs.
