Andriod Purchase

Hello I have a question about buying apps on the andriod market. My driod eris is mine but the account is under my parents name and when I go and enter my debit card numbers and information it says the card is not valid. Two questions do I have to use a credit card? or is there any way to just bill the account and make life easy??

I dunno about the answer to the second question, but the answer to the first is no. I use my Visa Debit Card to purchase from the Android Marketplace, and my Verizon account for my Eris is in my dad's name. I do not see any reason you would be having issues.
