Help Android 2.1- is the battery life better?

since we are having battery issues in the x10 mini/pro, feel free to share your opinions and observations if there's some changes in the android 2.1 update

I never had any battery issues when i had 1.6 firmware, with 2 hours of wifi web browsing, 1 hour phone calls, a couple text here n there, 2-3 hours total of music playing for 2 days, i went from 100% to 25%

With normal light usage I can get this upto 3 days

I'm really curious about these different reports on battery life.
Some claim that their x10 mini lasts barely 1 day while being idle most of the time and then there are users like colpolite who get a really decent amount of battery life out of their minis.

since updating to 2.1 mine has gone from only needing charging every 2 days to every day... even with wifi, bluetooth and data turned off and task killer killing none essential programs
overnight, if not charging, it loses 30-40% of its charge

did you add some new applications? i heard that new apps in the 2.1 are amazing like the moving wallpaper etc but then it still consumes battery life

just been checking my phone whilst on charge, it charged to 95% then dropped to 92%
the phone has been off charge for an hour and it's dropped to 85% already

have just uninstalled a few apps to see if that makes a difference
I've never had live wallpaper, AWD or any other similar apps installed so can't be that

Yes I do, same with wifi, but if i go idle i don't leave my data connection/wifi bluetooth or gps on. The people that have battery problems while idle and can barely last 24 hours probably have features turned on when not in used

Like right now i just check my status, i have 35% battery level and 41 hours of uptime, this is with an hour of web browsing, 2 hours of music, some phone calls and txt messaging, took a few pics and video, display on 1 minute timer and brightness halfway, then the usual pressing of the upper or middle button to check time etc...

I get noticeably better battery life than before with 2.1, inasmuch as I used to keep 3G off all the time so I could get about 2 days battery life, and now I get the same battery life but with 3G enabled.

As well as the usual phoning/texts, my phone syncs permanently with gmail so I can pick up emails on the go, which is what soaks up my battery. I don't use bluetooth or wifi and gps only rarely.

Well since 2.1 I'm getting much better battery life.
I have gmail sync running also like on 1.6 and it seems much better. Also I've only just noticed since updating the brightness has been on the default max and used 60% of the battery! I've changed that now so expect even better battery life than even the past week!
