android 2.3 TV Box from 7dayshop

Hi, I bought 2 of these TV boxes (CPU Rock Chip 2918) with Android 'style' interface. The idea was to be able to connect my elderly mother in law to Skype and to have the same box to help sort any little problems she might have. The advert suggests they are Skype ready but they are not. Please see ebay Item number: 261019583071. The instructions state that they can be used with mouse, keyboard or remote, I can only get the remote to work. If anyone has any idea how to solve this problem I would be very grateful.

hey there i have this box, I got the (wireless) keyboard and mouse to work by connecting the receiver to the top left usb connector. I have found that I was able to get a generic webcam to work with skype but the quality was quite poor not sure if that is to do with the camera though. I dont know how to get a microphone to work.

Hi, Many thanks for your input. I had a hell of a job just to get into google play (android market) I now have skype downloaded and I will definitely try connecting up to the usb ports you mention. Where did you connect the webcam?

i think it was the bottom right connector but i may be wrong it defiantly wasnt the bottom left. I think you have to turn the box on and off to get it to work. I use a camera app from the market just to test it!
