Yesterday I installed that rom Google ????????? and on version info it says that it's 2.6.3.... what is going on?

I have to admit that it is unusually interesting. The normal LeOS version is by 2.0.X, so either this is a mistake in the firmware, or they changed their numbering schematic... Ill download the firmware though and unpack it, just to see what it is 
I looked into it, it seems to be a new custom Firmware from a group/copany(?) called chita (jita? = gitarre) so the versioning number is apparently also custom.... the interesting thing with this version is apparently the additional theme packs that can be downloaded (though all versions support them, but Ive never been able to use them) IIm going to see if I can play arround with them
oh and apparently this version doesnt support push mail from lenovo (though my guess is that most people dont use that anyway)
I did a full check on the system image for apks compared to the 2.0.3 version, and found a few diffrences 1) the rss widgest seem to be removed 2) there seems to be a ful security suite fom lenovo insalled (AntiSpam, AnitVirus, SafeCenter) 3) LeShare.apk (no idea what this is) The desktop view has been removed.
As for lenovoapps, it seems they still install the full range, and an additional chita bbs application

wipped up an application that shows the api level, the version number and the development name http://kbob.dyndns.org/LePhone/Download/Version check.apk you can install it, and if you could post the version here I can also add it to my site. (i know that the app isnt perfect... why bother with a button, and why bother using the toast thing? but since its only my second app I was playing arround )

But lenovo is allready supporting android 2.3 with the IdeaPad A1 (looks aufuly simulr to the LePad, my guess is it is the same product with a diffrent name) so my guess is that we can expect a new version soon (they also have two tablets with 3.1)
