Android 4.1 browser shut down

Hello All
Well I have a wee chinese tablet, works just fine until a use the browser, sign in to google, then up comes the standard google home page but the screen freezes and then the tablet shuts down

Anyone out there got any ideas?? cheers Ian

Try a different browser for starters.

There's Chrome, Dolphin, Opera and Firefox ... Link.

That might mean the original problem is with your Wifi and not the browser. Do you have access to free wifi? You might want to see if you can connect using a different network.

Does this tablet have the Google Play Store and can you get on-line at all with WiFi? If so you should be able to sign into Google using the Play Store app, and try and download a different browser that way. As @lunatic59 has suggested there's Chrome, Dolphin, Opera and Firefox, there's also Boat and Opera you could try.

If this is a new tablet and it was freezing and shutting down when you bought it, it may well be defective. You could try resetting it.

it sounds like one of the many cheap chinese tablets that aren't worth their cheap price tag.

Hi, yes, i can get onto playstore, i down loaded ebay app no probs, but if i go to firefox download, or yahoo homepage or bing it freezes then reboots, really weird.
Its like the systems knows i'm trying to steer away from google!!
