Android 4.3 sync options

Is there any way to set it up so my Gmail is on auto sync all the time but everything else like contacts and calendar etc. only sync when I'm connected to WiFi or do I have to just keep Gmail checked and do all the rest manually?

If not I guess I could set up a calendar reminder so I remember to sync all the other stuff.

Have you tried Qualcom's Battery Guru app? I'm not sure about restricting sync actions just to wifi, but it does allow you to intelligently and independently manage application synchronizations based on your preferences and/or usage (so you can allow Gmail to sync whenever it wants, but restrict Contacts to only sync when you launch the app or at regular intervals).

Alternatively, Synker in conjunction with Tasker may be able to do exactly what you're after.
