Android 4.4.3 coming soon

From the talk on the net it looks like the Nexus 10 will be getting this update soon. I personally can not wait, my BT crashes the pad often when close to my phone and sometimes even my PC. This version supposedly has a lot of bug fixes concerning data dropouts and BT.

will they finally give it transparent bars? if the 2012 Nexus 7 can do it, i am not sure why the 10 can't. the 10 is the most powerful one!

If memory serves there was a performance issue at dev time. Just after release though it was solved as it supposedly was a code issue. Of course it was too late to include it at the time. So my guess here is it could be included but the question is, as you state, will it be included.

Very cool, weird though as the services framework trick does not seem to work. where before it set the date of last check back to 1969 it does not do that for me anymore :(

Well it seems the old trick of services framework is now frowned upon. So it appears we will have to wait for the ota or load the factory image.

Received the Android 4.4.3 system update this morning on my Nexus 10 ...

Cool, they supposedly started yesterday. at the beginning supposedly only like 1% of devices get the update, then it is incrementally increased to 25%, 50% and then 100%. Hopefully within a week or so we will all get the update.

If you use a launcher that supports transparent bars, is it now working or a selectable option? I know with 4.4.2 that Nova launcher does not let you select it.

I think I started to get the DL as in notification it flashed quickly saying it was updating kit Kat then playstore started a bunch of updates and it went away. I could not catch the notification fast enough.

Its nearly all under the hood bug fixes

Since we do not use the dialer most changes are transparent. Min has a BT issue that crashes the tablet. I was hoping though they enabled transparent borders for Nova launcher and the like.

It is silly it is disabled as if it does cause an issue you can just uncheck the box. Easy enough to include in the developer options area a checkbox to enable/disable the option.

Still playing the waiting game here though. :smokingsomb:

Edit on that note just picked up the tablet and 72.6mb waiting to be downloaded. then it would not download just sat there stalled. It then had a button to restart and install, even though no download. once clicked it just said up to date. Strange.

I sideloaded it using ADB last night, now it's gone from being the weakest device when it comes to wifi to the strongest device in the house.

It's pulling speeds even my Nexus 5 can't hit, mental.

Well happy with that alone as slow Wifi speeds was really bugging me.

I updated last night, haven't got round to looking it over yet though. Just need my Nexus 4 to be updated now...

My ram usage seems a bit lower. While my WiFi speed seems the same, 24mb in most places, the browser seems to stream in pages a bit faster. Have not tried the camera yet.

Edit; just tried the camera but do not see HDR anymore as an option. Battery usage does at least seem !owed.
