Help Android 5.0 upgrade?

I'm looking at getting the LG G Stylo (from Boost). It says it is Android 5.0. From what I read, 5.0 has memory leak issues.

So do they release a new phone with old issues?

Does Boost have 5.0.2 upgrade available that I will be able to upgrade to once I get the phone or are you just stuck with the issue (on non-rooted phone)?

Does Boost ever put out Android fix/patch updates for their phones?
