Android 7 Home & App Drawer?

I just bought a new LG Fiesta 2 on TracFone. I set it up, got all my apps in the folders I wanted them in.
Then I found that there were uptates to install, and one app called "Home & App Drawer".
I decided to download and install it.
When the install was done, I got a dialog asking me how I wanted to complete the action.
The choices were "Home" and "Home & App Drawer".
I selected Home & App Drawer. I was horrified at what I saw on my phone's screen. All that careful arrangement I had done - spent at least an hour getting it just the way I like it - was lost?

Luckily though, I Googled and found that I could stop the Home & App Drawer and go back to the Android 7 default. I did a Force Stop, and thank Google that I was able to get my screens back.

So, why would I want to use the H&AD screen? Can I safely uninstall it?

It's just a launcher of sorts, you can safely Unistall this app which to me seems to be useless

Thanks. I decided to try Nova Launcher. I liked it a lot, so I purchased the Prime version.
