Help Android 9 - What is the "Browser App" setting in the App Info page of web browsers ?

I don't understand this option. Please someone clarify for me.

If I'm on chrome's App Info page and I set "Browser App" to chrome because I don't want the flow to jump over another browser, will it change other browsers to redirect to chrome when I tap a link?

If so, how can I turn this off ? Or, how to make sure browsers keep me within the same one ? Is it "Browser App" ?

Whatever the browser app is set to is what'll open links from other apps. You can also not specify a default browser in which case you'll be asked each time you try to open a browse link from another app to choose which browser you want to use.

If you change the "Browser App" setting in the apps info page, it does change the default browser - its the same setting in another place.

You have changed the default browser. If possible, please use the app-supported apk mod versions on TechGara.com Those are pre-installed versions.
