Android application battery usage monitor

Newbie
I consider that my "About Phone ->battery Use" is not really accurate in my case. Can you advice me regarding another android battery usage monitor application ? I am intrested in seeing the exact consumtion (in percentage) of each service/application...

Thanks!

Ahem. I'm sure this is technically within the guidelines, but it's bad form to bump messages -- especially after only one day.

Rest assured that your thread will appear on the "new posts" lists, and also on the 0-response searches (until now, you just broke that by bumping it. :p) that a lot of people are doing.

As for your question, there are quite simply limits to what the OS offers in terms of stats and tracking; I doubt you can get better stats with a 3rd-party app unless it does its own tracking (which will eat a lot more battery and cpyu time that it may be worth).

i have found most of the battery monitors never really work and just chew through battery. there is an app called battery graph which works really well, it plots your battery usage vs time on a graph so you can see and estimate roughly how long you have left, its very accurate but does use alot of battery to do so.

The default Android 1.6 battery monitor is half-baked. If only they allowed a setting to see a rolling recent 1-minute, 5-minute, & 15-minute timeframe, it would be 100x times more useful.

The Battery Graph app has been usefully doing this for me for just over six months now. I refer to it often to help tune my power usage controls (Power Manager app and also the more limited controls that are included in Android) plus it sometimes helps me catch a background app that is running in the background and chewing up power that I had forgotten about (manual closure, usually via the Advanced Task Manager app). Hope this helps. MB200

Try "battery snap" from the Market.

It's a battery widget which displays (via a handful of different little graphics, you pick) battery life by percentage and time remaining.

The beauty part is, if you click the widget, you can view stats and graphs that break your battery usage down not by app, but at least by time frame - there are preset timeframes as well as a dynamic viewer which allows you to drag timeframe in or out just about as close as you could want to get.

I doubt it does exactly what you want, but it's certainly the best battery widget I've found thus far.
