I have a Pioneer AVIC-F77DAB head unit. It is connected to my HTC 10 phone (and before that my HTC One M9). Sometimes, I just connect the phone by Bluetooth to use basic calling functions, but other times I connect it via USB to use Android Auto.
However, I am finding that using Android Auto causes the phone to forget that it was paired with the head unit via Bluetooth - I usually only discover this when I receive a call and can't answer it using the handsfree. Using Google Maps navigation on Android Auto also seems to reset all my settings in the head unit's inbuilt navigation so that when I try to use it again I have to run through the setup wizard for first use.
Any ideas why this is happening? Pioneer haven't a clue.
