Hi all I am from Singapore and I have some questions to ask about Android.

Qn 1
Does Android Market allow Singapore developers to upload their application ?

Qn 2
Are there other Android Market equivalent that allow Singapore developers to upload their application ?

Qn 3
How do we install software onto our Android-enabled phones besides via the Android Market ?

Thanks.

Not sure on the first 2, but the 3rd one you can download .APK files to your computer from websites and such. You need to go to Settings -> Application Settings -> and check "Unknown sources" (Allow install of non-Market applications).

You can generally download the APKs straight to your phone, or to PC, then transfer to phone. Lastly, you will need a file manager to install them (I use Astro, found on the Market, free..)

Hi when you want to transfer from PC to phone, you say you use Astro so do we need any say USB cable to connect the PC USB port to say the Android phone? I assume that allow data to "flow" from PC to phone? Or Astro is using infra-red or Bluetooth to do .apk file transfer?

Please bear with me as I still have not got myself an Android phone but I have written myself an application ready for installation next month once I got an Android phone.

Thanks.

Thanks.
