android black screen

i have a android phone working but screen is black what can i do? I turned off the phone took battery out turn back on welcome scrren shows but the main screen, can anyone tell me what i can do to fix?

Hello and welcome onboard. You might have to reset the device to factory default settings. Try this step: Power down your phone. Hold the home and back keys at the same time, and press the power button. You have to keep holding the home and back keys. Then follow the on-screen instructions. All the best.
