"Android Browsers"

KBU2

Android Expert
Hello, Guys and girls
I was wondering if there was a ratings list available for Android browsers? I saw a few online of the most popular Android browsers used, but none of them had Samsung browser and a few others listed and they didn't contain a complete list like starting from an A to Z ratings list. I know different browsers can manufacturer different sources information, but if anyone can locate such a list and share it with me, It would be most definitely appreciated.

I like Firefox Focus because of its spartan, no-frills user interface and solid, integral tracker blocking. But that's the thing, all web browsers do essentially the exact same thing functionally, it's always a matter of personal preference when it comes to all the 'extras'. Any of those lists you referred to will be based on the preferences of the author of the article (or editor/management), not necessarily what's best for you.
So just keep in mind that no matter which browser any of us recommend to you, it's your own needs and wants that are the priority as you're going to be the one using it. What works for some almost never works for all.

It's largely a matter of taste. Some are a little faster than others. Some have more add-ons available. Some may have UIs you prefer to others. Some have privacy features out of the box. Some are more customisable, some can sync across platforms, some lack customisation unless you sync across platforms. And a few have major privacy issues. But that last aside, they all do basically the same thing.

And as said above, the thing that makes one reviewer give a high rating to a particular browser may be irrelevant to you, or even a drawback. So my advice is to just try a few out and see which suit you best (disclosure: I have several on my phone, since I don't find any one browser is best for everything).

Absolutely. Try several (just don't set anything as a default yet) and see which one works best for you. I was surprised to find that Microsoft Edge Browser is phenomenal: not just on the PC, but on my Android phone as well. Experiment, watch videos of the pros & cons, and make your decision based on what you need it to do - not what anyone else suggests.

Read all the specs on the page. Some browsers will sync with a desktop version of the app, some won't. If you want certain services in the browser that will be the only way to find out.

Most of the reviews don't go too far under the hood.

FX has been around for a long time, so has Opera. Along with Google itself you have covered most of the common browsers that use both platforms. Both FX and Opera have or will issue newer apps. You will just have to break down and read for yourself and either email the developer or ask here if you aren't sure.

Edge is good but I don't like windows 10.

Yeah I tried Firefox to but for some reason I can't get it to recognize my Microsoft account email and password so I can't sync using that browser.
