Saturday, there was a report about Dan Borstein's first day of questioning during the Google vs Oracle trial. He was scheduled to come back on Monday and he recently finished his time on the stand.
Oracle's questions to Borstein pertained to what they were calling "scrubbed" source code of words like "Java," "Oracle," "Sun," "license," and "patents."
Borstein explains that due to trademark law, they didn't want to include certain words in the source code of Android. While they were focused on protecting themselves from trademark violations, most of the "scrubbing", Borstein says, was to remove "bad words" that he wasn't going to verbally say in court.
