Help Android Device Creates Files Named With Numbers???

Okay, so I've done this a time or two now. But I'm running with a first generation Moto G, Kit Kat 4.4.4 and using ES File Explorer. It's been a really sweet phone and I haven't had any issues with it (other than learning about Kit Kat and SD cards but I've dealt with that)...

Anyway, I've noticed when I turn on the feature in ES that shows hidden folders and such, that I get a slew of folders the names of which are only a sequence of numbers. I've made sure that they're empty using the Properties selection in ES, then I delete them but they later seem to come back. Just this evening I deleted upwards of five-hundred plus! My device still works fine afterwards and everything is still there so I'm leaning towards these folders just being temp folders like you'd find littering up your hard drive in Windows that the system just doesn't take care of deleting on its own and the user periodically has to delete them themselves, like on Windows machines... ES shows both the internal storage of the device and also the SD card storage, it seems these folders propagate the SD card more than anything. Thoughts?

Knowing where in the storage these things are would be a huge help in identifying their purpose (by which I mean exactly what folder(s) they are subfolders of).

Hadron, thanks for responding so quickly. In regards to your question, they're not in any parent folder. I've just looked again at ES and selected the show hidden folders selection to find they're back. I'm looking at the SD card and they're there besides in addition to folders for Android, DCIM, Lost.dir, Music, Pictures, Snaptube, SS-ram-dumps, Syncr and Video. I think they're just temp folders but although I have deleted them before I'm hesitant when I do so. When I move to delete them ES says they contain 0 Files and their size is 0.00kb...
