Apps Android Download Problem

Hello,
I am a newbie with Android. I am trying to download the Android SDK. I finally got the new 2.1 SDK after many tries and long download time, but it only comes with the tools. It has an AVD download manager to get the SDK components. I have been trying for 3 days to download this. Everytime I get connection reset. The site seems to be very slow. I couldn't find any other mirrors either.

Anyone know why Google cannot provide a faster host or is there a problem at my end ?

I have been trying for days now. Any one with similar problem or resolution or alternate sites to get the SDK ?

under the settings option have you tried checking the "force https://... sources to be fetched using http://..."?

Don't forget to hit save & apply after changing any of the settings on that page.

Otherwise, firewall settings? etc..
 
Thanks for the suggestion.I had set that checkbox.

I connected from a different network and was finally able to download, though the download took a long time. Wish Google provide a few more mirrors for download.
