Android emulators

Mods...I'm not sure where to place this question so if it needs to be moved, please feel free.

I want to run an Android emulator on my Win 7x64 desktop. The only reason is simply that I'd like to access Instagram on the desktop, upload photos and comment etc.. Not really into Android games.

I tried the latest (two-three months ago) version of Bluestacks3 and while it worked for about ten minutes, without warning or previous problems I got a BSOD. (can't remember the actual error message).

Alarmed, I immediately uninstalled Bluestacks are I had rebooted. I keep a pretty clean environment and scan for rootkits, malware and viruses all the time.

Since then I have been looking for an emulator that will play nice with my desktop or perhaps some advice from others who have had similar problems with Bluestacks3 who can advise me what i did wrong.

The Bluestacks drivers possibly. Windows BSODs can be caused by buggy drivers. Although FYI there have been a few reports on AF of Instagram not working with Bluestacks anyway. Any other better Android emulators, I don't know, it's not something that really interests me now.

Thank you for the response...I have had less than three BSOD's in all the years I've been using computers, this was the first one since I upgraded to Win7. Haven't had another since I got rid of Bluestacks.

Anyone know of an emulator that will host 'Instagram" without problems?

Why do you want to use an emulator?
Just login to Instagram on your PC using a browser

As mentioned in my OP, I want to be able to upload photos (can't do that through the browser), comment (doesn't really work in a browser), and edit my post (not happening through the browser).

FWIW, I do have Instagram on my browser (both Firefox and Chrome) and its functionality is limited. It's more a viewer than a working app.
