I have this frustrating problem with the connection between my device (Galaxy S7 Edge A6.0.1) and my mac (OS 10.12.2): Every time I plug my phone to my mac, the android file transfer software automatically starts up and on my phone (screen unlocked) a window pops up with a notice: "Allow access to device data, An MTP connection will be established to access data on the connected device: Allow or Deny"
At the same time the AFT software on my mac sends a notice telling me to unlock the screen lock on my device and reconnect the usb cable. As soon as I click on "ok" the software shuts down. And I am again on square one. I reconnect my phone and again de allow deny window and on my mac the AFT software runs with the same notice.
I have tried all possible combinations and no use (clicking allow and restarting the aft software, same problem, the pop-up window on my phone appears again). It is SO frustrating.
Anybody with this problem or has a work-around?
Thanks so much.
