android for netbooks

i just downloaded and installed android x86 project onto my usb stick and ran it live on my netbook and it works pretty good... anyone install this live on their netbook? i really want to find out how to set this up in a tri boot configuration with my windows 7 and some other linux distribution (i'm thinking of ubuntu netbook remix, gos, or im open to suggestions of netbook firnedly linux distros)... anyone install the x86 project onto their pcs? im running it live off the usb and it seems to work good... i just have to check the tethering ability to my motorola droid via blutooth before i 100% want it as a booting option on my netbook.

I purchased the Acer AOD250 a few weeks ago...so while I don't have any meaningful news for you regarding an install, I can tell you how it is running Android on a netbook so far...
I feel good about anything that's not Microsoft, I'll tell you that up front. Still, Android isn't ready for the netbook yet. It boots SUPER FAST, which is nice but there is NO security, and NO accommodation for printing or file/folder navigation as you would have on a computer OS. Worse still, there is no means for accessing the Android Market, where one might download some 3rd party apps to address these other shortcomings. I've read of an alternative app market but haven't checked it out and since it's not Google's I'm leary of what I might find there.

Hope that gives you some useful info...good luck with your installation!

In terms of running a Linux distro on a Netbook....

I did install "Linux Mint" as a live setup onto my Acer Netbook and it ran flawlessly and pretty darn quick actually...

I had no hardware issues what so ever and even wireless network ran outright with no tweakings on my end.

I am interested in an Android x86 version though... please keep this post updated!
