Have you recently changed how the news section works? You use to be able to see a brief description below the news title, now they are all blank with links to the source article only. Even if you click the heading.

Is this a new thing or am I the only one seeing this?

I see the same. No description/summary of the article.

May I add that Trending news does not work stating insufficient privileges.

Do you mean that the error "You have insufficient privileges to post" is shown? If so, I get that too. Only a privileged few are allowed to post articles in that forum. Even mods can't do it.

You are indeed right, I can remember seeing this before. It must be because trending is either not working or nothings trending that the message is front and center..
