I've never heard of a BSoD in Android, but random reboots are often kernel panics, often out of memory (OOM) panics caused by too many apps trying to run at once on too low-end a device, often older Gingerbread devices with little RAM sold by many pre-paid dealers like Net10 or StraightTalk. after a few dozen apps, all of them try running at once and fight over the little RAM until Android panics because it cannot allocate enough RAM to fit all those apps.
Another cause of random rebooting is faulty SD Cards. i have one in my GS3 that i used in three other phones, and even it randomly reboots at times, always when playing MP3s saved on the SD card.
