Hi

I have bought a new, but unlocked T mobile G1 from the US. It works fine here in Denmark. However, it seems that the guy who unlocked it also sign in to a google account - thus blocking use of Market.

Here comes the question. Can I hard reset the G1 ( so I can sign in a new google account) or would that mean the the G1 would have to be unlocked once more?

I would like to know that before I try...

best regards and thanks for a great forum.:D

Hi,

I dont know if you do a h-reset you loose the unlocked mode, maybe not but not sure.

But the only form to know is doing it.

A hard reset is when you pull the battery out. What you're wanting is a factory reset. You shouldn't lose the unlocked status of your phone when you do one.

Settings -> SD card & Phone Storage -> Factory data reset

And yes, that's the only way to change the gmail login account. Best of luck.
Nope, when you pull the battery out, that's a softreset.
Hardreset = restore factory settings (factory reset).

Yep, and normally a Hard Reset is pressing any phisical buttons for do that and used when something is wrong in the SO or in he configuration and the phone can't boot/start. This restore to factory settings.
