Android Market Help?

I restored my EVO 4G via RUU that was on 2.2 when I was originally on 2.3.3 so when I was done I updated and everything seemed fine but the Android Market was different style than the green on that only had Featured/Top Free/Top Paid and now displayed Books and Movies. The version I'm on now says 3.1.5 so what is the .apk I was on before and is the one I'm using now new or old?

You are on a new version of the market, not sure what version you were on before but you will likely not be able to go back to the older version.

You can go back if you have the old .apk. You need to be rooted so you can freeze or quarantine "Market Updater". his is what I did because I hate the new one. Everything still works fine.

hi guys, I've got a desire hd and my market hasn't updated yet, should I be worried? You mention "Market Updater" but is that the update service for apps on the market or the market app its self? I've tried a few tricks from online but nothing has worked so far to get me the new version of the market app. I even got a newer system software update today after gingerbread but no new market. strange!!

You can download the new market's APK and install it, even without root. Google search for "new android market apk" and you should find it on a site like Android Police or Phandroid.

Hi thanks for the tip, I've looked on both sites but its soo bloody hard trying to find the correct app that you want!! Any idea how to force the phone to update or maybe a link to where the app apk is on a site? thanks
