Launch of our second Android developer tool this week:
Rittr Labs | Android Market Link Tracking Kit for Android Apps
Once you've published your mobile app to the Android market, and you're in the stage where you're all about promoting your apps via links on your web site or through pay-per-click advertising, you'll notice that it's impossible to tell how many installs were generated by those web links as opposed to people just installing your Android app through an Android Market search.
The problem with the Android Market right now is that you cannot place Google Analytics, Google Conversion Tracking, Google Website Optimizer or similar tracking tags in it as you would traditionally do on your web site or blog to track online conversions.
Because we ran into the same problem, we developed a free link tracking tool to allow you to track app leads up to the very moment before your prospective users click on the "Install" link in the Android Market:
Now you can include those (a) Google Analytics, (b) Google Conversion Tracking, and/or (c) Google Website Optimizer tracking snippets to track those interested prospective users that you send from your web site, QR codes or mobile landing page to the Android Market.
Question: Is there anything else that you would like the tool to do?
