Android Market - which region ?

Hi,

does anyone know how to identify which region your Market app is looking at ?

I ask because there are apps that others have that i can't see (in the market). these people have phones from the same carrier, in the same country.
Also, if i use QR codes for certain apps i get a message telling me that the nothing was found. I have tested this with an app i had before updating the ROM, which is now not available.

If you install MarketEnabler you can set your Market region to a bunch of predefined regions that cover pretty much the whole lot. You'll need to be using a rooted ROM though. I'm pretty sure even if you don't have a rooted phone it'll tell you what region you're in (mine just advises 'au', though unsure if we share the same Market as Europe - probably not).

I just installed and ran market enabler, but when i open the android market after, nothing's different and i can't see paid apps. Am i missing something??

edit: using samsung galaxy rooted on ii5 firmware with galaxhero rom.
