android market

Im using HTC chacha and i have very low memory. When i open android market it automaticly updates to google play and i must uninstall updates. Please help ! Sorry for my bad english

If your software is really old you may have an app called "Market Updater". If so, disabling/freezing or removing that should stop the updates (this doesn't work on newer devices, where that app no longer exists).

However, if your software is that old you probably won't have the option to disable it, and you won't be able to remove or freeze it unless you are rooted. So in that case I don't know whether there is anything else you can do.

Is there an auto update setting in the Android market that you can turn off?

If rooted, Titanium backup can help you freeze and remove apps.

Auto update on/off for the old Market was version dependent.

Looks like OP said it updated to the Play Store, which I believe.

Turn off auto updating there, under settings.
