Help android messages not working but Verizon messages working

Hello,
I just did the system update to my Galaxy S6 Edge last night but now I am not receiving all of my text messages. I have always used the Samsung app for messages but they are not all coming through. If I go the Verizon Messages+ they all show up.
Why is the Samsung app no longer working for my messages?

Try clearing the system cache, it's always a good idea after an update. Here are the instructions, you'll want to do system cache, not just the app. I don't have your phone but those instructions appear to be the right ones.

edit: just an aside, most folks find the stock SMS/MMS apps to be lacking. You're probably better off with the Verizon app or any number of others. Oh and, welcome to forums...make an account and stay a while
