Android music player Help!

when I open from file folders my android
music player does not recognise
Some of the music files for eg. Mpga.

But if I open directly from the down load
History, the music player works.

If in windows xp, I can set programs
To open with chosen files types,
But I cant find something similar
In android.
Can anyone help?
