Android music player still plays music after being closed.

Title is the issue.

I open up my running apps. Close the music app. Music keeps playing. That doesn't make sense to me.

Seems pretty ridiculous I have to stop the music before closing it or I have to force stop it in running apps.

'Android music player' is somewhat vague and generic as there are dozens of media players available. Please specify just which one you're referring to.
Also, a lot of people, myself included, prefer to actually have something playing in the background. We all have our own preferences, in your case you prefer the opposite. Have you tried any other media player? A lot of them have extensive options that you can adjust to suit your own needs.
