Android Netbook Wifi Problems.

Hi Everyone - I wonder if anyone has any suggestion for this?

I'm dual booting Android 1.6R2 on my emachine eM250 Netbook (A clone of the Acer Aspire D250)

The integrated card is Atheros AR5B95 and basically the wifi signal is rubbish, will hardly see my router or connect unless I'm stood right next to it.

Acer did release a version of the D250 with a dual boot android pre-installed so I'm guessing it should work on this hardware.

Needless to say if I reboot back into Ubuntu the wifi signal is fine, so its a not a hardware issue, nor it is just an issue with the Android Signal Strength meter being wrong.

Thanks

hiya,
I'm just starting to research android/linux on an old laptop.
HP N3402 500Mgz celeron, 256 ram, 5GB hdd, linksys wifi card (can drivers be added for linux)
Has win ME on it now.
Just looking for surfing and wifi, as I'm setting it up for my mom, so NO or very limited downloading is a must.
Could you point me to a good info/how to site?
Never worked with linux.
thanks
