Android Newcomer - The Best Android Games?

Hi, I'm soon going to be ordering the Nexus 7 from Google/Asus and have been embedded in the iOS frame for a few years. I was wondering what games people reckon are the best for android, except every Kairosoft game, i already know about those.

Just please dont tell me about any freemium games. I tend to like the strategy, simulation and tycoon type games to most, but im open all suggestions.

EDIT: I've just had an idea; i managed to get final fantasy VII (7) running on my iPod Touch 4G, but it was a bit laggy, is there a way to get it to run on Android devices. With the specs the Nexus 7 has, it shouldnt be that laggy.

Shadowgun is really good on the Nexus. I'm looking for some decent tablet style games too. It seems the Nexus 7 is more of a phone than a tablet on the Google Play Store.

I played shadowgun on iOS and it wasnt really that great, i didnt like it so i cant see it being much different on android.

Also, how is the nexus 7 a phone, rather than tablet, i'd hate to see the size of the guy who uses a 7" screen as a phone. Barring that, it doesnt have any mobile network connections
