Android Question

I have a ZTE android from Public Mobile, the on/off button at the top is jammed, but for the last 3 weeks I've been able to just use the home button, but today I was on my phone in the morning than charged it. I went to get something to eat and came back and it wouldn't and still won't turn on, yet the button that is red/green when it is charging is still red?? It hasn't been connected to the charger for an hour! I am 13, and my mom says we will go to the store tomorrow but I am worried they will force me to pay a stupid amount just to have it looked at. And my phone hasn't been acting up at all, so this came as a random thing. I've tried having my friends text+ call me to see if it turn on, and my volume is up. And nothing happened, but see my biggest issue is that the on/off button is broken. So I can't turn it right off and than on and I am not sure if I take out my battery and put it back in, it might not automatically turn on or turn on by pressing the home button like I have for the last 3 weeks. Does anyone know what is happening to my phone? Again, I am 13 and this is my first phone so I am not that bright when it comes to technology. Does anyone know if it will turn on automatically if I take out and put the battery back in? Thanks :)

It's hard to tell with odd things like this. My own feeling is that if you can't turn the phone on anyway there's not much to lose, so you may as well try it before going to the shop. But I cannot guarantee that it will come back on.

If you do pull the battery, leave it out for a couple of minutes before replacing it, to make sure the silicon is completely discharged. Then try again.

Good luck!

I'm sorry but I am going to disagree with my fellow staff member. In my experience, when you pull the battery, I don't know of any phone that will power back on upon placing the battery back in.

If you're lucky plugging it into a charger (not your pc) will power it back on. Otherwise I hope it's still under warranty.

good luck
