Android Notifications?

Hello, I have a Samsung Admire SCH-R720. I'm using Go Launcher so I got nothing but GoWidgets on my screen. I'm trying to hide the notifications from the status bar cause I this message widget and I also have the status bar hidden. I already got the message widget so I don't need the notifications on top, which makes my status bar keep appearing. So BASICALLY... I'm trying to hide the SMS notifications on top. I heard of this app called Hide My SMS but it only hides up to 5 contacts which is ridiculous to have if it only hides up to 5 contacts. Is there anything else to completely hide my SMS notifications? Or ALL notifications?

What SMS app are you using GO SMS? Go to the apps advanced settings and notification settings then turn off notification bar option.

I'm using a widget called "Message" from the GoStore. It has no other options than to show the maximum number of messages shown and New message notifications which just shows the message notification coming from the widget. I'm trying to disable the original SMS notifications coming from the phone cause the Message widget already shows a notification on it.

EDIT: Btw I was looking at the GO SMS Widget and it says it can replace the original SMS? I'm just trying to BLOCK the original SMS on top so I don't get the notification cause the message widget that I use already shows a notification.

On the original SMS app, you can remove the notification on the status bar, but the phone wont alert you of a new message. You can get Go SMS, disable the notification on the stock sms app, then customize the go sms notification to not appear on the status bar but still alert you via audio or vibrate.

So I disabled the notification on the status bar on the stock SMS. I got GO SMS, I tried disabling the sms notification to not appear on the status bar but I don't get alerted via audio and enable vibrate to work on silent mode only. I'm just trying to hear the audio and disable ALL SMS notifications from the status bar.

Hmm, yes, it appears it doesnt have that option as I initially thought. However the notification in the status bar disappears as soon as you mark the sms on the widget as read though.
